Main App + 2 Dep (Inc new born child)
Our appointment was at 9:20am but we reached Lunar House at around 9:35 (This was due to the worst central London traffic I have ever experienced). Security guys didn't say anything and let us processed to security control and then to a ground floor counter were all applications were checked and marked valid. I then paid a fee at 1st floor and then processed to 2nd floor where our biometrics details were captured. We were then asked to wait on the same floor for the case worker call.
Our number was called by the caseworker in around 30 min or so. Case worker was very nice to us. She first collected all the application forms, fee receipts and passports. She then asked for my payslips, bank statements, maintenance and baby's birth certificate. She photocopied everything and said that the decision will be taken in 30 - 45 minutes. She then started doing something on her computer and in the end told me that our applications have been approved and we will get our BRP in 5-10 days.
We came out from the building at 1:00 pm.
Documents submitted.
Main App :
Application form + photos + passport
10 months' payslips
banks statements
Dep (Wife)
Application form + photos + passport
Dep (New born baby)
Application form + photos + passport
Birth certificate
In the end I would like to say thanks to all of the forum members for their invaluable tips. - KM

Hi,
Thank You for sharing the Info. Much Appreciated. I have some questions regarding the Extension. It would be nice if you could clear me out.
1.Did you need to highlight the Salary Row in the bank statements, or the case worker worked it out.
2. Did you get the Earning Bank statements sealed and signed; was it downloaded from internet or you got it through bank.
3. Did they asked for an extra bank statement for maintenance( for you and your dependants) or happy enough to go through it in the earning statements which you provided.
4. Did you provide a Cover letter highlighting the points you earned.
Cheers,
MM

Yes I did

They were the official bank statements which I normally get in post every month

I didn't get you?
4. Did you provide a Cover letter highlighting the points you earned.
No
Cheers,

Hello kakamanna, congrats on your extension. If you would be kind enough to answer one more question, you said you used only 10 months of earnings as they were sufficient for the points. To give you a background, I am in a similar situation where for me 6 months is enough. My extension is in Oct 2012 and I will get enough by March 2012 after which I plan to quit and take a break.
My question is did the caseworker ask you why you showed only 10 months and also what you were doing for the rest of the time ?
Thanks in advance
