Schegen Visa to for UK ILR dependent

Hi,

I am currently on ILR in the UK and my spouse is on FLR.

We are planning to go to spain (gran canaria) this december. I am already holding a schengen visa which is valid till March 2012. I need to get a Schengen Visa for my spouse.

1.The tourist visa section on the VFS site says it needs a letter from the employer and bank statements for the applicant, my wife doesnt have either of these. So can i apply on her behalf with my documents and mention that i will be sponsoring for her trip????

2.also the website says the UK resident permit must be endorsed in the PP and Not applicable if holding a biometric residence permit card... my wife's visa is currently a BIO metric card ... does that mean she cannot apply for a tourist visa to spain????

Sorry I can not help much with Spain.

You may find visiting Germany is easier to deal with.

If you have ILR, you might also want to apply for naturalization as a British citizen. Then your spouse could get a free and easy visa to other EU member states.
