Getting Married Abroad

I am a British Citizen by birth, I have Permanent Canadian Residency since January 2004. Im still living in the UK, but will be moving to Canada for good in Decmber 2006.

I am getting married in October 2006 in India and intend to return to the UK at the beginning of November before making the final move to Canada in December. I would like to bring my wife with me to the UK from India after the wedding on a visitor visa. It is our intention for my wife to return to India when I go to Canada, and I will apply for her to come to Canada as my spouse to settle.

Does anyone forsee any problems I might face trying to get the UK visitor visa?

I will be taking my Canadian PR Card, my one-way ticket to Canada, my Canadian bank account passbook, my Canadian SIN (social insurance number), a letter from my UK employer, three months payslips, UK bank statements.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to any other documentary evidence I should take with me when applying for my wife's visitor to visa?

As long as it is clear that your wife, as she will be, will leave the UK before the end of her visitor visa, I don't expect a problem.

Clearly lots of evidence about your move to Canada would assist in getting the UK visitor visa.
