Claiming housing benefits

Hi everyone, I am on Tier 1 PSW visa as of now which will expire in an year & half from today. Can someone please answer if i apply and claim council tax / housing benefit which is considered as public funds i presume, will it hamper my tier 2 visa application in future? Shed some light on it please. Thanks.

Given that as a PSW migrant you will have no recourse to public funds, you should not be claiming Housing Benefit or Council Tax Benefit. See Public funds guidance
