Biometric enrolment at PO - contacting HO to request

Post by abc111 » Wed Nov 09, 2011 11:31 am

hi all,

i have applied for T1 extension and have to provide them with biometrics, for which i have been given the appointment for mid December.

I am wondering if someone could provide me with specific email address for T1 (G) extension so I could contact them and request to allow me to go to local post office and provide my biometrics there -quicker overall process.

Other thing, will it be a good idea to contact them in the first place for this?

many thanks.

Who gave you the biometrics date? If you have called the Home office and requested for a date then call them again and tell them that you will be going into the post office for Biometrics..

You can find more information for post office biometrics on this page : http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/about ... enrolment/

Walk-in service for enrolment wrote: You may be able to enrol your biometric information at a limited number of post offices nationwide. This is a walk-in service, with no need to book an appointment, but you can only use the service if you have been sent a letter inviting you to do so.

There is no specific email address for "Tier 1 (General) extension" that you are looking for.

I believe one is given the option to submit biometric at a PO only if he lives within a specific geographical proximity of a PO offering this service.
