Returning to UK on ILR after 23 months absence

Post by DB 9 » Thu Nov 10, 2011 11:09 am

Hi all,

On the 22nd of November I am flying back to the UK after 23 months of absence. I have an ILR that i obtained in june 2005, have all other docs i.e payslips from time there, bank statements, tax documents etc. Checking the letter i received from the home office it states that i should not be away for more than 2 years. Is there anything else i need? Am i missing anything? I am looking for the most hassle free way i can go about this...a friend even suggested i fly through Ireland if i am loathe to use Heathrow..Any ideas or tips...

Thanks. I have gone through that before. Number (iv) is of concern to me, what is the best way to prove that I am back to settle...Personally I consider England to be my home, my life is there.

18. A person seeking leave to enter the United Kingdom as a returning resident may be admitted for settlement provided the Immigration Officer is satisfied that the person concerned:
