English Language requirements for Tier-2 visa

Post by drmaqbool » Sat Nov 12, 2011 2:32 pm

I hold the UK NARIC recognised Bachelors level qualification of MBBS from Pakistan. The awarding university has confirmed in writing that this was taught in English. Can some one please let me know if this would be enough to meet the English Language requirements for a Tier-2 visa.

Could you also kindly let me know how to get a positive confirmation from the UKBA. So far, each time I send them an e-mail, they do not give a specific reply but send all other information, which is already given on their website.

Does the PBS calculator gives you 10 points under "English skills" on the basis of the stated qualification?

If it does, then you meet the English language requirements for the purpose of a Tier 2 application. If not, you must take one of the approved tests.
