Payment of Fees at PEO

Post by goldenmean » Mon Oct 24, 2011 2:34 pm

Hello,
I have appointment with UKBA PEO for my Tier1 General Visa extension.
As mentioned in the Tier1-General extension application form, Visa fees can be paid by -
Credit Card - Mastercard, Visa (including Electron) or American Express (Amex)

Debit card - Delta, Maestro** (including • Solo)

1] I would want to pay by my Visa Debit card. My query is Does Delta include Visa Debit cards(As i see that Visa was earlier called Delta:- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Visa_Debit) Any body having first hand or sure information on this

2] If not possible by card, I would like to pay by cheque. It says -
" If applying in person at a Public Enquiry Office and paying by cheque, you must have a cheque guarantee card with a limit sufficient to cover the amount to be paid."

What does a 'Cheque guarantee card' mean? What do I need to do to get one from my Bank?

Any pointers about these two things would be useful.

-AD.
