converting students visa to a work visa

Hi, I am on a students visa and my MBA course will get over in May 2012. Meanwhile I have got a job with a company for $ 30000 annual salary and the firm is having license to employ non-EU based candidates.

Please let me know if I can convert my student visa into a work visa before the completion of my course.

You are talking about Tier-2 visa which has nothing to do with student visa. If your employer/sponsor think they can provide you Tier-2 sponsoship you can switch. Its point based visa and there is no restriction between switiching from Tier-4 to Tier-2 if you are eligible and got full points. Only that employer/sponsor can provide you clear picture.

Tier 2 sponsorship requires full-time employment. Fullt-time employment is something that you cannot do when studying full-time or during term time when in UK as a Tier 4 migrant.
