Tier 1 Extension - Self employment earnings - eligibility

Hello people,

I have one very basic question. For the purposes of satisfying earnings requirements for Tier 1 General extension, can I apply earnings I receive in self employment registered as SOLE TRADER (rather than when I run limited liability company, partnership etc)?

If yes, how do I will need to ascertain those earnings to UKBA. Are there certified accountants in UK who develop business accounts (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow statement) for sole traders? Can I use business accounts + letter from the same accountant who developed those accounts as documentary support for my earnings to UKBA?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

You can MadNomad and there are suitably qualified accountants out there to help you with both the accounts (income statement and balance sheet - there's no requirement for a cash flow statement) and the letter. The same person can do both.
