Hi, this forum is great in getting very imp informations. I need some advise on filling this part of the form as i am applying in dec 2011.
I got entry clearence from india in jan 2006 on SEGS visa. Started the job in NHS and got my work permit for 4 years on dec 2006. IN dec 2010 i have got visa extension in tier 2 category till dec 2012. I am applying of ILR in first week of dec 2011.
I have been to india in feb 2007-march 2007. I have been to paris in nov 2009 for a week.
Which date i should fill in this question 6.3: when did you last enter in UK?
1) my original entry clearence from india jan 2006?
2) My actual start of work permit dec 2006?
3) the date i came back from paris nov 2009?

Any thoughts will be appreciated...

Didnt you go outside UK after 2009.
If so the date should be when you entered UK from France.

sorry my first question was wrong i got bit confused...
the secenirio is same but question is
section 6.1 : When did you (the main applicant) first enter the UK? This refers to the date of your first entry into the UK at the beginning of the period of stay on which this application is based

Is it going to be my first entry clearence from india jan 2006?/
or my actual work permit date which i got in dec 2006?

This should be your first enrty to this country not the EC date.

thanks for quick reply..
but confusion is....

first entry clearance in sept 2002 student visa
gone back to india and applied entry clearance in jan 2006 SEGS visa
came here started my job in NHS..
applied work permit dec 2006 for 4 year.
applied tier 2 visa dec 2010 for 2 years
so i qualify for ILR in dec 2011.

so question
6.1 : When did you (the main applicant) first enter the UK? This refers to the date of your first entry into the UK at the beginning of the period of stay on which this application is based.

my application is based on work permit 4 years + tier 2 one year = five years.
My SEGS entry clearance was from india and based on that i came to UK. My work permit was applied here in UK so never gone back to india to get any other entry clearance.
so in answer to that question what date should i enter?

1) My first initial Entry clearance on student visa sept 2006?
2) My second entry clearance on SEGS Jan 2006?
3) my actual work permit starting date Dec 2006?

any help will be much appreciated...

If you converted from SEGS to WP within UK, then put the date on which the WP visa was stamped in your passport...
