Tier 1 Dependent Visa

Experts Please respond to my below query. I am asking this question for someone else..

If I am on Tier-1 and my wife is on Tier 1 PSW …. Is it not possible to apply from Uk for dependant visa? Is it compulsory to apply from India?

1. Cannot switch in-country unless they came to UK as your dependant.
2. Has to apply from outside the UK. If she applies in the UK the application will be refused.

*It is best to read rules relating to switching from UKBA website.
