Work Permit holder - Job Title and Salary Issue

Post by zin55 » Sat Nov 19, 2011 10:52 pm

Hi All

My ILR is due on next year 1st week of May 2012, due to so many changes i am confuse what is correct

Here's detail

Work permit issued on May 20007 on a salary of 22500
and my job title was Programmer / System Analyst / IT support

In Nov 2008 my salary was raised to 25000 and
In Nov 2011 it reviewed again and my current salary is 27000

My questions

a) I am not sure what should be correct Job title when I am applying for IRL. Do I need to ask my company to sort out my Job title right now or later by the time of application.

b) Do I need to worry about my salary

Thanks

1. You need to figure out what responsibilities you job entails and arrive at the appropriate SOC code and job title. If it needs sorting, it will need to be done before you apply for settlement.
2. Do step 1, you'll figure out whether your current salary is appropriate or not.

Does my company need to inform Home office regarding that change in title of my job and how early they need to inform them

Read Technical change of employment which explains under what circumstances a "change in employment" application must be submitted.

Hi sushdmehta

Thanks for your replies

Under TECHNICAL CHANGE OF EMPLOYMENT section it states

"No application form is necessary for a Technical Change of Employment, and no fee is charged."

so what shall I ask to my HR dept.

Hi

I just found this useful blog
http://www.immigrationboards.com/viewto ... 94d0379a59

As my current job title (System Analyst, IT Programmer and support) are in same COP category and I am only trying to figure out correct title according to COP

Do my company need to apply for fresh application for Tier 2

Regards

1. How can you have 3 job titles simultaneously?
2. Perhaps you may need to make a change of employment application under Tier 2! But you need to first determine whether one is actually required.
