Bank statement confusion.

Post by Vinner » Tue Nov 22, 2011 8:19 pm

I have my bank statement which is dated from todays date till 3 months. That is august, september, october, november.

Now i have not made any transaction in my account for last 3 months so its only showing my last transaction date as august no changes are shown of following months.

Will it be a issue if my bank statement does not show today's date on it even if the bank stamp and the date on the statement shows that it is todays statement ?

Any help on it is appreciated . Thank you :)

No as i have not made any changes in the bank account from august . The date on which the print out is taken and bank stamp is been taken is clearly shown.

The bank statement has last statement as 800 pounds dated on 8th august . I have taken the print out on 21st novemeber and asked the bank about it . They said its ok as the date shows i have taken the print out on 21st November and the bank stamp also has the date printed. Would it still be a problem ?

highlight the date your statement was printed on and mention it in your covering letter to caseworker so he/she doesnt make a mistake.

you satisfy the criteria and will win the appeal if caseworker does make a mistake and refuse your app

I have posted it today evening . I can stop them from posting if i go early in the morning . should i do that ?

If i appeal how much would it cost me ? . I think i will rather stop royal mail from delivering as they would be posting it in the morning.

Would it be a good idea stopping them and then redelivering it with a new statement ? . Is there a chance of UKBA rejecting my application as i have not added any covering letter which says but i think its obvious that the day when i have printed it shows the balance as it is.

As an applicant, you rely on caseworker doing his/her job properly.

Sit tight, everythiing will be alright.

Covering letter is not a requirement.

If anything, submit "change of circumstances" form. Include covering letter. Mention in this covering letter how you satisfy maintenance criteria etc.

Appeal is 'free' but it can be a long process and not to mention the stress that goes with it!
