I am making this post in reference to my mother.
To start off, I am a 22 yr old female living in the UK as an international student from Bangladesh for the past 1 year (2 years left on my visa).
My mother is currently living in Bangladesh and will apply for a family visitor visa within the next couple of months along with my 3 yr old sister (who is a Canadian citizen, her visa will be applied seperately)...I will be visiting them in 3 weeks and will do all the necessary paperwork
My first concern is ...will she get the visa because she has previously been deported from Canada due to rejection as a a Refugee Claimant (she was a dependent of my father)?
(It was the same situation for me, I was a depedent also and was deported. however, I was granted student visa)
But, she will be on a visit visa which means she will not be eligible to work while in the UK?
My second concern is that after she enters the UK is it possible for her to apply for any kind of settlement in terms of being a victim of domestic violence also showing that she has a baby who has been exposed to that kind of environment?
Isn't there any kind of humanitarian stand that can be made to immigration?
I know I should talk to a solicitor but as I mentioned I am a student and do not have that kind of money to pay for consultation.
Please if you can give any kind of advice, it would be much appreciated.
Regards,
Lavina
