ILR application - payslips and time abroad

Post by mars80 » Sat Nov 26, 2011 1:38 am

Hi there,

I am a work permit holder applying for ILR.

Two questions:

1. I have my appointment in a week's time, and have realised that I am missing payslips from all of 2007 (have no idea where these went!) and 2 months from 2010. I have got P60s for 2007-8, 2008-9, 2009-10 and 2010-11, but this does not cover the first few months of 2007. I have got bank statements to cover the whole period.

Will I have enough information to prove my income? The payslips from 2007 are from a previous (bureaucratic) employer, so I'm not sure I will get them in time even if I asked for them now.

2. I have calculated my days out of the country in the last 5 years, and it comes to around 205 days. Some of these periods were unpaid (about 4 weeks). Will this be a problem?

Hope you can help.

Thanks,

M

Old WP holders applying for ILR need only to show the last 3 months bank statements and payslips. Of course, show every P60 that you can.

Read the FAQs on this board for more information.

forgot to add: You need the letter from your employer showing that they still require you. the SOC/COP matching your job must be listed in this letter. The sticky posts on this forum have examples of the letters and formats for recording the absences.

Without them - you will most likely be rejected.

I am WP holder applying for ILR in 4 weeks but I have been reading the boards since early this year... :D

Wish I could "like" that last statement :)

Do you know about the second question? The time abroad?

Thanks for your response so far :)
