Address details for PSW Application

Post by boykingin » Sun Nov 27, 2011 3:38 pm

Hi,

I finished my MBA n the UK in Sep 2011 and currently am in India. I intend to apply for my PSW from my Cochin, my home town. I need clarifications on a couple of points.

1. The address on my passport is different from my permanent address. My bank statement also point towards the passport address. However I do not stay there anymore and therefore my permanent address is a different one. Will this cause any problems? I remember that while applying for my student visa I did not face any difficulty with different addresses.

2. Is National Insurance number required for PSW application?

Will really appreciate your comments/suggestions on these points.

Thanks.

1. No.
2. No. But if you have one, mention it.

Thank you so much for the clarifications.

I have few more questions that need to be clarified. Some of these might seem to be simple, but I am confused and would really appreciate your comments on these.

1. In Appendix-4 of Tier1-PSW form (used when applying from outside the U), Part 8 (Summary Sheet), the total points claimed comes to only 85 (as against the required 95). This is because the summary does not ask about the English language requirement. Is this fine? I noticed in the form used while applying from within the UK, the points claimed for English language has been specifically asked in the summary sheet.

2. For maintenance, I am showing my indian account as proof. Do I need to include any covering letter for the bank statement which will specify the INR equivalent of 2800 pounds as per latest conversion rate?

3. There have been several transactions in my account during the course of the last 3 months. Is this cause for any concern? The balance in the account has never slipped below the requisite amount.

4. As the graduation ceremony has not been held yet, I just have a letter from the university as proof for Qualification, Institution and Date of award of qualification. Will this suffice?

Thanks.
