Tier 1 second extension

Post by ukvisahopeful » Sun Nov 27, 2011 8:45 pm

Hi,

I am new to this forum and have a few queries on extension of tier 1 general visa. Here is my situation :

1. First visa granted Feb 2009.

2. Visited UK 18th May 2010 for job interview (applied from India) flew back 21st May 2010.

3 Got job and came back 28 Aug 2010 and working since. Due extension now.

Now for the question:

Even if I Iam granted 2 years extension now, I will not be in any way able to complete 5 years for ILR. In view of this situation a second extension is inevitable..

Q1. Is a second extension allowed?
Q2. If I apply sometime in say 2014 for second ext. (in case it is allowed) the criteria for the second application will be for the ones at the times of first extension ( now) or when I initially applied in Jan 2009. This is something I really want to know from senior members on this forum as nobody has been able to guide me to a correct conclusion with supporting statements in the ukba guidelines!!
Q3. Would there be an issue in obtaining an ILR

If anyone can guide me through the above I would be very grateful.

Thanks,
ukvisahopeful

1. Under current rules, yes.
2. No one can tell you if the policy will remain the same in 2014 or, if it changes, to what extent will it be changed and how it will affect you. Assuming it remains the same, read confused? and calculate your points accordingly.
3. No one can tell you what the rules for settlement may be in 2014.
Life isn't fair, but you can be!
