Hi guys
I have a question for you.
Can any one tell me how much it costs me to live in places near to london and commute to central london, on day to day basis.

Can you please put in details for below mentioned points

1. One Bed room house in Bromley area?
2. Council taxes, electricity, Gas costs
3. Tube cost from Bromley to central London? 150 Pounds.
4. Internet bills for a month with moderate speed.
5. Grocery i would take it as 300 Pounds. for 2 of us.

Please let me know the details.

1. One Bed room house in Bromley area?
Do an area/post code search here
http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-to- ... flats.html
2. Council taxes, electricity, Gas costs
Would be £200-300 per month depending upon property size and usage.
3. Tube cost from Bromley to central London? 150 Pounds.
If you find an place in Zone 1-4, then yes around £150 (monthly top-up). Check fares here

http://www.tfl.gov.uk/tickets/14416.aspx
4. Internet bills for a month with moderate speed.
£10-20 per month. Just internet, not phone or TV included
5. Grocery i would take it as 300 Pounds. for 2 of us.
I would say around £200 per month, if you spend wisely

If you stick to a budget, shop around sensibly and do not splurge on impulse purchases, you should be able to hit that £700 mark.
