Switching to Tier 2 from Tier 4

Post by varsh009 » Thu Nov 17, 2011 7:41 am

Hi,

I have three questions:

1. I was wondering, if I am in the UK on Tier 4, then apply to switch to Tier 2 but have my application for Tier 2 rejected, will that invalidate my Tier 4 visa, or can I still stay/re-enter in the UK as Tier 4?

2. If I go to my home country to switch to Tier 2 (VAF 9 form), will I still need to provide the information such as approval of scholarship provider (yes I am here on a scholarship) and evidence that I have done more than 1 year of my course (I am completing my PhD)?

3. My dependent is here with me, he will be switching too from my home country. How much maintenance will I need to show for him? £533 or £1600? I have spent more than 3 years in the UK as a student.

Thanks.

if Tier 2 fails... it wont affect your Tier 4 status. it will remain valid until the date it expires
