Naturalisation following ILR

Post by drbagchi » Sun Dec 04, 2011 1:11 am

Hi there
Me and my wife were granted ILR last month following a continuous 5 years stay here in UK ( 2 years HSMP JR and then 3 years Tier I General JR).
If we clear the life in UK test can we apply for naturalisation immediately or do we need to wait for an year following ILR.
We were not absent from UK more than 450 days in the last five years and more than 90 days in the last year.
Many Thanks
Subhabrata

as one of the standard requirements is that you have been free from immigration time restrictions during the last 12 months of the residential qualifying period.
