Que about in country switching to a dependent of ILR holder

Post by newbie_sr » Tue Dec 06, 2011 12:17 am

I am looking for advice from the experts on this forum, on a question i have. Reading the UKBA website, does not make it clear about eligibility.

I am an ILR holder for almost a year now, having got the ILR in Jan 2011.

My wife came in to the UK on a WP in Jan 2007, and then got a WP extension in 2009, followed by a switch to Tier2 (ICT) in 2010 and another extension in 2011. She is as such eligible for her ILR in Jan 2012, but is quitting her job due to issues at work.

We also have a child born here in 2009, who is currently a dependent on her visa.

The question I have, is whether my wife and kid, can switch as a dependent (i.e. spouse) on my ILR visa by making an in country application?
