Urgent help : Tier 1 extension : Missed email

Post by RLMY » Tue Dec 06, 2011 12:25 am

Hi
Date applied Tier 1 extension (Postal) : 12th Oct 2011
Biometric given on : 10th Nov 2011
Tonight i realized that i have missed an email from case worker asking for some minor extra documentation within 7 working days of the date of email which was 17th Nov 2011. The email also mentions that no extra time shall be given. The 7 day deadline expired on 28th Nov. What shall I do?
Does failure to respond to the email mean automatic refusal?
Will I get a chance to appeal?
Will I be allowed to submit the documentation in the appeal.

I have responded to the email providing him the necessary explanation and shall submit the required documentation in a couple of days. will that be considered?

Many thanks for your help.

I think, you must send in the missing document to UKBA. State in cover letter that the email went to junk folder and you have check it today and dispatched the document the same day. Also state in the letter that you were expecting the UKBA to communicate through letter and have not thought that they will use the email instead. This might help you. Try the same day delivery of Royal Mail. I am writing this because one of my friend faces the same situation and he got his extension.

If the case worker has already not made a decision they will consider your documents. To my experiance, the case workers are not stubbon. They do consider the errors. So my opinion is to rush.
The question is... to be or not to be....

I agree with the Above comment. Be Positive and send the document through with a covering Letter. If they haven't refused your case already, they will consider it.
