Pak student in UK - wanting to visit France over Xmas?

Hi, I have a query on behalf of 2 of my contacts.

Husband/Wife from Pakistan.

The wife is currently studying full time in UK since 2010.

A mutual friend of theirs is unexpectedly visiting France over December/January, and they now want to see if its possible for them to get a short term visit visa to go and meet up with them in France for a few days.

1) Is this possible?
2) What do they need to do / who do they need to contact etc

Both a Pak passport holders, and I believe their student visa expires on May 31st 2011
