Schenegen Visa for Non-EEA spouse

Hi,

I recently acquired british citizenship and got my british passport. My wife(Indian Passport) is on dependent visa which expires in July 2012. We have booked holiday to italy in June 2012. I was wondering what are the chances of my wife getting schenegen visa. I read some where that they will issue visa till the period 3 months before the UK residence permit expires.

Can someone guide me what are my options?

You are a citizen of an EU member state. So your wife is pretty much guaranteed a visa. And it has to be issued for free. See http://eumovement.wordpress.com/2007/04 ... u-citizen/
