Biometrics -looking for particular clause in immigration law

Post by arsenal49 » Fri Dec 16, 2011 4:30 pm

Hi everyone,

can someone tell me which paragraph in the immigration law, or otherwise, deals with the situation such as: when applicant has failed to give biometrics on time, due to whatever reason.

thanks

thanks.

i contacted ukba after not receiving biometric letter for 5 weeks (calendar days).

they told me it was sent to me, and obviously must have been lost in post...

they gave me this fax number to send a letter requesting new biometric letter.

my worry is, according to their records, i have not booked a biometric appointment for 4 weeks...(they told me the date it was sent asper their records)

i just dont know what to expect...

1) what is the likelihood of they returning my application?
2) will it be considered 'invalid' app.
2.1) if thats the case, i think i can re-use my COS number (TIER2 GEN). can someone correct me, if im wrong?

3) also, what about the fees? will it be refunded as well?

4) any one knows the protocol when an applicant claims the biometric letter was lost in the post?

regards,

Usually if you haven't booked an appointment within 15 days of the biometric letter, they will send you a reminder, they will not simply reject your application. As long as you now fax them to ask them for another letter, they should have it on record that you didn't recieve the first letter.
