FLR delay

Post by raina » Tue Oct 03, 2006 11:40 am

Hi. Though submitted in time my FLR has not yet been processed by the HO as they are having delays.
My current FLR has finished.
My question is --Will the HO issue the new FLR overlapping my old dates.
That is important as it will be proof that I was in the country legally right now?
Or will the FLR be stamped from the date that I recieve it?
(my FLR finished on the 01 October 2006 so even though I dont have the new FLR what I mean is will the date on the new FLR start from 01 oct 2006??)

Thanks

As long as you have a written acknowledgement that your application was valid and was received - you have nothing to worry about.
They do not usually put the date when they issue the FLR. They only put the date it is valid until. You will have the date on the enclosed letter.
If you application is approved, your leave to remain will be running continuously. If you are refused, you will still have a valid leave to remain until 28 days from the refusal date on the letter, which will give you time to sort things out.
