Gerrys asking for 2 Original bank statement

Post by khurramalvi » Mon Dec 19, 2011 8:48 am

My wife is planning to apply for dependant visa, she called Gerrys Karachi office and they asked her to submit 2 original bank statement of main applicant instead of 1 original statement and copy.

Border agency in Pakistan doesn't mention any of those requirements.

The only paragraph I see about copies is quoted below:
For every document that you provide, you must include the original document and a photocopy. This includes a copy of your passport bio-data page (the page containing your photograph). Please ensure that the photocopies are of good quality and can be read easily. If you do not provide a photocopy of each document, we might not return your original documents to you.
Did anybody face the same situation?

Please share your experience.

This has to be a mistake (they told her something that is wrong or she misunderstood). It's completely impractical to provided two originals of the same document. Furthermore, the main applicant is you, the PBS Migrant (not her, the Dependant) and as you are not applying with her you don't necessarily have to submit any statement at all (in the event that she has a statement in her name instead).

Lucapooka, thanks for the quick reply.

I send my bank statement for the proof of maintenance funds. It doesn't make any sense to me as well sending 2 original bank statements.

Ignore it, and if they insist make a complaint.
