Maintenance funds question

Dear All,

I have a CoS assigned to me. But I do not have £800 in my account maintained in my bank balance. I've been told there are two options:

(1) My sponsor can issue a letter stating that they are ready to give me £800 in advance during my first month of employment.

(2) My sponsor will have to amend the CoS and state within the CoS that they will give me £800 in advance during my first month of employment.

Which of these is the safer one. A visa consultaant mentioned that option 1 will not work.

Please help!

Not sure. Reading from the tone of your reply, Option 1 wont work, will it?

What do you think of the feasibility of option2?

whats your current status? (you should have at least put some effort in describing your immigration background.i.e. in-country applicatnt? current visa status etc.)
