PSW MAINTENANCE

Post by VKP » Thu Nov 24, 2011 2:03 pm

Hi

I have completed my Masters and I have got an inperson appointment on 4/01/2012 at Glasgow PEO and my visa expires on 27/01/2012.

Regarding maintenance of Funds I have held £ 950 pounds on my savings account from May 5 till today. But I have got no transaction during the month of August and September. HOwever I have got 2 transaction on May, 1 on June and 1 on July and several transaction from October till to date. I am planning to close my Account on 16/12/2011.

Will that be fine..

Hi VKP,

I think that's absolutely fine. My in person appointment is on 22nd Dec and in my bank statement, I have no transaction during October. However, I have transactions before and after that and have maintained the balance throughout. So, I think it should be fine.

Not a problem! If you don't mind, may I ask you what other documents are you submitting? I am submitting the following:

1. For the financial bit, I am submitting a print out of my bank transactions for last 3 months which will be stamped by the Bank. My Bank is not ready to give me a letter, hence I am showing the transactions...

2. I will be showing my Original Degree certificate

3. I will be showing a PSW letter from the institution in original.

Is there anything else that is required that I have missed out?

HI

As you said I am submitting original bank statement along with letter from bank conforming the same.

Degree Certificate and PSW letter.

Thats all.

So you are fine with these documents I guess. If I come to know anything I will post you immediately.

bank statement should and must mention the date the statement was issued. otherwise caseworker wouldn't be able to ascertain if you satisfy the maintenance requirements, given the lack of transactions on your statement

Hi Guru

I could not understand on what u said.
I am getting the original statement from bank along with
A letter starting that I have maintained the funds for three months.
Is that fine . So my statement will cover the period from May to December with no transaction during August and September

if you were to look at your statement and accompanied letter, would you be able to determine, without a doubt, that your statement was issued by bank in last month or less?

If yes, you have nothing to worry about.

Hi Guru

If I submit the monthly statements sent by the bank via mail it should be fine shouldn't it? As its in the bank's letterhead and they are the original statements. Not sure what you meant by "determine, without a doubt, that your statement was issued by bank in last month or less?" below...

Monthly statements (by post) should be your best bet.

What "Guru" meant was the date of issue of the statement was within the past 28 days.

So for example, if you are submitting that statement today, it should clearly show on the statement that it was was issued / printed somewhere between December 8, 2011 and today. The statement should not be older than 28 days
