ILR, company name and address changed and salary reduced

Post by rebeirostephen » Fri Jun 03, 2011 12:12 pm

Hi Members,
I am in a dilemma,
I was was issued a work permit in 2007 by Company A with an agreed salary,
in 2009 the company name changed to B and me moved to a new address, my salary has been reduced but in par with the "Codes of practice".
My work terms and conditions have not changed at all, I was not even provided a new contract.

my employer is willing to mention the change of name in the supporting employers letter.

Does my employer need to complete a "Technical change of employment" form??
I have a my appointment on 30th June 2011.

Really appreciate your advice guys.

I think yes .. you emnployer needs to submit a technical change form to the home office and pay the fee telling them that the name is changed from A to B ...
because they will ask you for your work permit (issued 5 years ago) and an employer letter (issued now) .. so the names should be the same or if any changes then it should be reported...
agian I hope I'm right ...

it is not a dilemma .. its normal issue just need to be reported so you should just contact your company's HR and make sure they are aware of such issues with the home office ...
and since your salary above minimum requirement so it doesn't matter

how long did it take to Technical Name change.

I have similar situation as yours. My company name changed recently. I went to PEO Croydon with a letter from HR mentioning the Company name change but they didn't accept it. Rather they wanted a confirmation letter from UK Work permit office Sheffield. Hence my ILR was withheld. All my originals are with Croydon office and they have given me 14 days time to get the letter.
I asked my HR to apply for that and they applied but it looks like it will take 3-4 weeks.

Can you please tell me what did you do ?? How did your application went through. I am on work permit and working for the same company since last 5 years. Now I am worried if my application might be rejected.

Do we get a letter from UK work permit office mentioning the technical change of the company which we need to submit to PEO. Or it will automatically get updated in DB which PEO can see.

Please share any information/suggestion you have.
Thanks

I would recommend you guys completing a technical change form. I was in a similar situation and thats exactkly what I did.

Received confirmation from the home office and I have nothing to worry about. So please get this done to avoid any unnecessary worries.

Good Luck
