Would I still qualify to BC after being dumped by partner?

Post by Antelope » Sat Jan 07, 2012 9:37 pm

I had an ILR granted to me for being an unmarried partner of a British Citizen. In August 2012 it will be 2012 months of my ILR and I was planning to apply for my citizenship.

My partner decided to start the new year with a new partner and is now leaving me… so, do I still qualify?

We were together for 5 years.

I'm a bit intrigued because I have been asked at airport when returning to UK recently why I qualified for ILR...

Any information welcomed.
