which benefit should i apply

Post by rfarooqui » Sun Jan 08, 2012 12:20 am

Hello,

I would like to ask one question please, i am british citizen (Not born in UK), my wife and my 9 month son recently granted a visa which is expiring on 2014 (stated no public funds), and living with me, before i apply any benefit or am i eligible to apply any benefit, i am worried if i apply any benefit will affect my family visa ILR application in future.

Ok i need to mention my son was born in Pakistan, i been living in UK since 2000. i have been naturalized on 2008. I have never applied any benefits before, because my salary is only £19000. I am financially struggling so i need to claim benifit as i have no other sourse of income.

Would like to know which benefit should apply.

Any reply would be very appriciate.

Thanks and waiting for your answer.

Did you know that your son is automatically British by descent (2(1)(a))?

You should be claiming child benefit for your son. This is currently £20.30 per week for one child.
