Question regrading Absence of leave from UK

Post by Chikky » Sun Jan 08, 2012 8:01 pm

Hi,

I was just filling the excel template available on this forum regaridng the absences from UK.

I have the following questions:
Question 1. I made a trip to Paris between 04-May-2007 to 07-May-2007. When searching for stamps related to this trip on my passport i could only find the stamp of my return to UK. The return was stamped in Heathrow airport on 07-May-2007.

However i could not find a stamp leaving on the 04-May-2007 and nor i can find a admitted stamp in France (Travelled to BUS/Ferry - Port of entry Calai)on 04-May-2007.

Do i need to prove in some form that i had travelled outside UK on 04-May-2007?

Question 2: When calculating the number of days of absence during a trip does it include the date of actual travel? When i include both the days going out and coming in over the last 5 years i come to a total of 155 days.

However if i dont add the dates i go out of UK and the date i come into the UK then the total count is only 140.

Please can someone clarify the above two questions.

thanks

If you know the dates, mention that in the excel sheets even if there are no stamps. There is no further proof required as such, IMHO.

No, the travel out (departure) and travel in (arrival) days are both not to be counted.
