Visiting the US with my wife

Post by Marco 72 » Mon Oct 09, 2006 5:33 pm

Hi, I have an unusual question, in that I have an American wife but do not wish to immigrate to the US :). I am Italian, but I've been living in the UK for many years and have a permanent job here (so does my wife). Next year we would like to visit her family in the States, travelling together. From what I have been told, since we are a family we need to fill in just one customs form and tell the immigration people in front of the lines that we are together, after which they will probably allow us to queue together at the US citizens line. Do you think this should be relatively trouble free, or should I bring documents to prove my ties to the UK?
Thanks,

Marco
