Extending my Discretionary to leave

Post by frizawarona » Tue Jan 17, 2012 12:51 pm

Hi People,

i claimed asylum as a gay individual in 2002 but in reality i'm bi-sexual. my claim was refused but was granted discretionary leave after 7yrs of being here. to honour my disaapointed family i then got married to this girl in 2010 and we now have a 8month old baby. now i want to apply to extend my DLR which expires soon, do i tell of my change of circumstance and what would ukba do with this change? or do i just apply without informing them of this and see the outcome? and do they consider past facts even if asylum claim was refused?

please HELP as i am stuck and dont know what to do? she is a UK natianal...

thank you all.

You will most likely be fine Under Article 8 due to the presence of the child, although this may cast some doubt on the grant of your previous DLR. How involved are you with the care of this child?
