Funds went below £800 and topped up in the same day

Post by dNa180 » Thu Jan 19, 2012 12:13 am

Hi,

I need an advice, I made a mistake on one day that the account went below 800. On the same day i transferred a big sum of money from my savings into this account. Should i send both of the bank statements?

Can i still apply for PSW visa under this situation?

I am not too sure I fully understand your question. You are saying you had 800 pounds in one account (I'm assuming current account), and a big sum (let's assume £2,000) in a savings account, am I correct?

If that's the case, then as long as the deficit in your current account, at the time it happened, was matched by the amount in your savings account, you are fine. Send both account statements.

You can send multiple account statements to prove you had a minimum of £800 spanning a consecutive 90 day period. As long as the said accounts are in your name, and satisfy the UKBA requirements for maintenance documents (i.e. Original bank statements, etc as stated in page 19 of their policy guidance)
