Tier 1 Extension by Agent/Solicitor At PEO

Post by longshift » Sun Jan 22, 2012 1:46 am

As per my understanding from the threads here, the case worker will not be able to reach a decision to your application until he/she gets your biometric details. So if a professional third party apply for your application for same day service, your application will not be processed same day, right?

I am planning to apply for my ext. application togather with 3 dependants. Just to save the hassle I was thinking of hiring a proffesional help who can represent my case on the same day service. But it seems it would be a waste of money to go for same day service if the professional agent cant get the decission same day. Please correct me if I am wrong here. Will save few quids here as the professional agents are charging £200 extra for same day service.

Let me re-phrase my concerns one more time.

Can a professional represantative apply on your behalf at one of the PEOs with Premium service? And how does the Biometric system works in this scenerio for applicant and his dependants as its compulsory now.

The agent/representative will accompany you and your family on the day of your appointment.

They will take you through each stage of the application process at the PEO. Once your biometric enrolment is done, your agent hands over the documents to the case worker on your behalf and that's it - you are done for the day.

If your case is approved, your agent will be asked to come and collect your documents at 2pm next day. Else it will be like postal applications if further checks has to be made.

You may have to wait until next day evening to know the result from your agent.

Note: Same day service doesn't mean same day decision.

Hope this helps.

Cheers mate....

So in a nutshell it would be a waste of money if you still have to be physically present with the agent/solicitor. Especially with cases like mine which are pretty straight-forward and have some months on hand before extension.
