Can Tier 2 (ICT) dependant work as a freelance contractor?

Post by rganu_123 » Fri Jan 27, 2012 10:17 am

Dear All,

Need urgent help.

I am in UK on Tier2 (ICT) long term staff and my spouse has received contract offer, for that company has to be registered. I did not find any info like dependant can not register company to work as a freelancer.
Can anybody confirm on this. Is there any official link (UKBA or so) where I can confirm this.
Thanks a lot in advance for help.

Cheers
rganu

dependants should not have any work restrictions except the doctor in training practice bit. They should be able to form a company as well. Can you not check what her visa says in terms of work?

Thanks Sheffield for quick response.

The visa only says, can not work as doctor in training.

Cheers
