PSW Fixed Deposit Funds

Post by smksmksmk » Tue Feb 07, 2012 8:32 am

Hi all,

Probably a long shot, but trying anyway. Hope someone can be of assistance.

Made a rookie error and read the terms wrongly, thought I need £800 when applying for PSW out of the UK and thus only had that amount in my account.

Am planning to apply for the PSW and obviously would not make it before the April 2012 deadline. I am wondering, if I get added to my Dad's account as a joint account holder (and has £2800 in there for > 90 days), will UKBA accept it as proof of funds despite the fact that I have only recently been added as a joint account holder?

If not, is there any way to get past this? Am really annoyed at myself for this overlook and any help will be greatly appreciated.

Also, anyone knows about rights to appeal and chances?

Thank you very much all.

Your name should be on the bank statement for all three months. And I dont think this will be acceptable if your name is only recently added.

Well if the bank statement cant show your name there for 3 months, then get a letter from the Bank in your and your fathers name saying that there is X amount of money in a/c belonging to you and your dad for the past 3 months.
