Teir 1 extension when

Hi all

My teir 1(3 year) visa expires on 17/06/2012.How early can i apply for extension ,if i apply on march will i get extension from the date my current visa expires ie 17/06/2012 to 17/06/2014 or 2 year from the date at which the case worker consider my application

Hi,

I have a similar query.

I got my visa in June 2011 under Tier-1General and it expires after 2 years in June 2013.

But, as I would be completing my 10 years residence in January 2014, I am eligible for applying under ILR.

Now when my current visa expires in June2013, I'll be extending my Tier-1 for 3 more years and again applying for PR in January 2014.

Considering the uncertain situations, I was wondering if I can apply for my extention this June itself, almost a year early and get 3yrs extention now so that I dont' have to worry about rule changes or fee increases. Also, I have enough pay and things which might change if economy goes downwards.

Any idea if I can or cannot apply for extention before an year ??
