Biometric appointment urgent

Post by aarnags » Fri Feb 17, 2012 11:16 am

Hi,
I got my biometric letter on 17Feb12 dated 14Feb... (need to be done with 15 working days)
They asked me to go only through online appointment at UKBA office.

I checked there is no slot available between 18Feb to 5March at any of locations.
Here it mentioned that I can not choose for walk-in service unless mentioned in letter
http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/about ... biometric/

I called up homeoffice to confirm same and they said I have to book appointment online only, cant go to postoffice and they cant change the letter.

I have 3 dependent with kids and it is not easy to travel from london to far end of UK.

My current visa already expired and can someone advised what I can do please..

Thanks

You don't have to attend and appointment within 15 days, you just need to book one within 15 days-just choose the earliest appointment at the enrollment centre most convenient for you. They do not
Offer post office enrollment for applicants applying with dependents. It doesn't matter if your leave has already expired-as long as you made your application before your leave expired your leave will be treated as continuing under para 3c of the immigration act 1971

Greenie thanks for quick reply..

Can you please clarify I need to select "Tier2 sponsored skilled worker" ???

London/Cryodon/Brighton are only nearest place for me..
Should I keep searching for appointment for next couple of days.. if someone cancel then I might get ?

Can someone share the any experience with online booking please.?

Thanks Aarnags. What is the earliest date available in March to book a family BRP appointment when you checked online?
Thanks,

8th March Liverpool.... I have not booked it yet.. will search or wait if anyone get available nearby london?

You can not book in advance as you need case reference number from biometric letter?

Any idea if we can reschedule appointment if it gets one available for earlier date?

What a pitty for a family.. in my biometric letter they did not mention London/Brighton..

I can find nearest cardiff 15th March...

Do they allowed change the slot if something get available for earlier.?

How much time needed to finish bio-metric including 3 dependent?

Finally I received my BRP invitation letter on the 18th and booked a family appointment at Liverpool PEO on the 9th of March, not the nearest place to where I live!!!. I was hoping to travel to my home country on the 19th of March while I submitted my application on the 30th of January. I cant see it happening now and I don't know how long it will take at the PEO to enroll the biometric details.
