- A Lebanese citizen living in Norway may travel to all of Schengen on his own. (incl. Switzerland)
- If same person is married to an EEA citizen, he may additionally travel to the UK+Ireland+Bulgaria+Romania+Cyprus, but only if the spouse accompanies him.
- If same person lives in the UK, he may only travel if he´s married to an EEA citizen and accompanied, however in this case he may not travel to Switzerland. If married to a Swiss citizen, he´s stuck altogether...
- Travelling from Norway will not cause any trouble.
- If he tries to use his right to travel from the UK
- he will "sometimes" end up having to explain as to why he thinks he has the right to travel
- and also "sometimes" he will have a harder time to enter the country of which the spouse is a national compared to other EEA countries.
- A Russian citizen living in Switzerland may travel to all of Schengen on his own.
- If same person is married to a Swiss (not EEA) citizen, he may additionally travel to the UK, but only if the spouse accompanies him.
- If same person is married to an EEA (not Swiss) citizen, he may additionally travel to the UK+Ireland+Bulgaria+Romania+Cyprus, but only if the spouse accompanies him.
- Any UK embassy will tell you that this is not the case, however when arriving to the UK you will usually make it past their checkpoints...
- If same person lives in the UK, he may not travel to Switzerland even if he´s married to an EEA (not Swiss - that´s different) citizen.
- But they may travel to Liechtenstein, which is behind Switzerland´s customs checkpoints, from where there are no further checks towards Switzerland. Just 100% not allowed to cross this unmanned border!
