Hi i have sent my application for AN since 2 January i haven't heard nothing at all please advice ?? should i contact home office ?

Normally they can take upto 5 weeks but in your case it's more than 6 weeks already. Have the money been debited from your account ? If not, then I would advise you to call them

I am sure your application is being processed. You can call HO and get your reference number on phone.

so they dont send any letter ?? friend of mine told me they sent him all his id back passport and driving licence when they took the money strange

At intial stage they only send you acknowlegement. They will send you all the documents back once the decision is made which could take upto 6 months. You can request your documents back after 3 months or so and if they have scanned your documents they will send them back to you.
