Your valuable advice and suggestion for this needy person

Post by john_micheal » Thu Oct 26, 2006 6:14 pm

Hi

This is John, I need some genuine help and advice for my situation.

I am on student visa in uk (me from india), I havent completed my degree which mean i got few modules to clear.

I got an employer who can take me as their employee since i got some 2 yrs work exp , So they started applying for work permit ,i got a letter stating like this.

Dear Employee

Application for an Immigration Employemnt Document

Appliucation By Employee --- so and so stating we have approved this applciation for work permit for so and so period and its up to the candidatieto obtian leave to remain to take up his employment,

I know that for people who are in student visa who havent completed the degree ,they should go to home country to switch the visa ,but i am not sure that the letter which i got is enough ,Since some people say that you need a different letter if you are going to home country to switch your visa ,

Really confused , and i even confused my employer who is also sick of listening my queries,

Hope some one will help me with your valuable suggestion,

Hope you people will not leave me wondering for your replys.

Thanks
John

To make it more clear

Post by john_micheal » Thu Oct 26, 2006 7:20 pm

Jus see this mail which i got some time back from Work permit enquiry department,Inspite me saying to my employer about the covering letter ,they havent ssend that letter stating below ,they might have forgot that, so Moderator please help me by saying the letter i got which i stated in my previous post will do for me to switchig back my visa at my country.

Thanks

Dear John,

Thank you for your email.

A Student Visa holder must have graduated from the UK University to
switch their leave to Work Permit holder status by applying for further
leave to remain.

If this is not the case, the employer will have to include a covering
letter with the Work Permit application requesting that a 'Work Permit'
be issued if the application is successful, not a 'Letter of
Permission' (this is what would be issued if the individual can apply for further
leave to remain, which the caseworker will assume is the case is the
individual is in the UK) so that if the application is successful, the
individual will be able to return overseas to their country of origin to
obtain entry clearance under the Work Permit.

I hope this helps.

John, I don't know if I can help but I took a lot of time to read your query and I must admit defeat, I can't understand it. I think I've got a headache now :-(

Please don't use the excuse of English not being your first language, I'm from India myself and I think you could have tried harder.

It's not a moderator's job to provide you a reply, but both moderators and other posters are more likely to reply if your posts are clear and easy to understand.

Oops ,Its excuse of Insufficient knowledge on Urside i think

Post by john_micheal » Mon Oct 30, 2006 7:40 pm

Why should i feel like to excuse my english ,since i know that the query which i posted was understandable ,may be the situation is like that for you.

International student visa in uk---> Not completed my degree---> got a employer who can apply for a work permit --> Work permit granted to apply for leave to remain which is in the above format which i said in my first query --> Now enquiring whether the work permit letter i got will suit only people who can switch student visa to work permit visa only in uk ..

So

I am asking you the work permit which my employer got ,can i take that for entry clearance in india to switch my visa , since i need to go to home country to switch my visa since i have not yet graduated,

I am really sorry even if you cant understand this , than i think i should better email home office or look for other blog since you might not be famiilar with my the work permit of my issue.

Thanks Ol7max for replying , and i am saying again i dont have any excuses for my query , might be your insufficient knowloedge about my issue rather,

My problem was with your lack of courtesy in not bothering to proof your posts, not with the quality of your English.

Anyway, with that attitude, good luck with finding the advice you seek!

Atllas i got reply by enquiring to the home office itself

Post by john_micheal » Wed Nov 01, 2006 3:56 pm

Mates I got the information from the Home office itself,

It seems to be my employer has to make another application since the work permit which i got is incountry switching visa , So my employer has to specify while applying that they need out of country work permit,

Lets see what happens next ,thanks for people who tried to help me and no thanks  for people who got headache due to insufficient knowledge about my issue ,

Cheers
