Funds date of entry in UK really matters

Post by Ahmed25 » Mon Jan 23, 2012 8:42 am

Dear members,

I have two queries regarding Tier 1 Entrepreneur VISA.

1) Is funds date of entry to the uk matters? Because other than the sample letter which ukba provided at the end of the guidance nothing is mentioned regarding this matter.
Actually I am here in UK since last 6 months. Now if I open an account and transfer the money from one of my relative account who is british national and living in UK since last 10 years, to my account than what will be the funds date of entry in that case?

2) My current status in UK is student and I want to switch to Tier 1 Entrepreneur VISA before ending of my MSc program. So, my question here is that can ukba raise an objection on this that first finish your degree and than apply for visa because in application form at one place they are asking for the reason of previous entry.

Please help me on the basis of your experience or expertise.
Thanks

Dear Ahmed,
Assalam-o-alaikum
Question 1: I am confused as well.
But as fas as I can think and suggest:
They need to know before your leave to remain expires i.e. when you apply for extension to tier 1 entrepreneur visa; you have invested the required amount(200,000 or 50,000).
Because in real World, like I have shown the amount of money and then again used in my previous business. You can hold such amount for longer time unless you are a young entrepreneur or a millionaire. (and I hope millionaire will go for investor visa which is more secure and good road to settlement)
Now, I got the visa, so I will again take that money out of my previous business.
Definitely, I will use huge part of the investment to start the business and remaining amount for backup. Since, I have got access to 200,000 GBP, I cannot invest all the amount then try to find loan or other sources to cover for any loss or any amount required before reaching break even for my proposed business.

Question 2: need someone else help

I am also looking for joint venture. If you like, you can PM me and we can discuss further.

The answer to your 2nd Question is that

They will be having no problem with your degree status, but u need that degree to claim 10 points in English proficiency unless u have IELTS with 7 band or other arrangement.

Thanks.
