I am in a fix...I really need help..any advice will be greatly appreciated.My fiance was deported from the US in 2003 for possesion of control substance.He has been clean since then.He lived in India for a year and a half and then moved to dubai for a year and a half on a work visa.He has police clearance from both India and Dubai.
He was convicted only for four weekends during his stay in USA regarding that possesion of control substance.Now,he has 115 points and is qualified to get a SIR Visa for Aus(Adelaide),however we arent sure if the visa will be granted coz of the US Deportation.Can someone throw light on this please?We dont want to go ahead with it without advice coz if his visa gets cancelled on criminal grounds he will be permanently excluded from Aus...
Another question,will it be easier for him to get a student visa in this case instead of SIR???
