urgent info on employment agencies

Post by alex2000 » Thu Aug 10, 2006 8:50 pm

Hi everybody,

Just discovered the board and i have read virtually all posts since. It is an excellent concept. I hope i wii be able to overcome my challenge job-wise through advice on the board.

I got the HSMP approval and EC with expiry date end October 2006. However i did not come to the UK until May 2006. As at today, i have not gotten any job. My job search is progressing abeit a slow rate. While i will not abandon my search for a commesurate placement, i need to urgently start ANY job (like yesterday) to fulfil the 'economic activity' clause of EC renewal.

I will apprecaite any agency link for any job (odd, temporary, factory etc).
I stay in the North west area of London.

ALEX

p.s. - although not a relevant info for the temp/odd job my background is MBA, ACCA (part-qualification) and overseas commercial banking and consulting experience up to management level.

with visa expiry nearing i suspect if you can get a contract / perm job with your relevant field. i guess taking up a odd job like tesco etc.. will help you from extension issues/denial. hope you are maintaing good bank balance to support your application within a month.

With the new rules in place, it's going to be very difficult for you to get an FLR now.
