HSMP changes easy or hard ?? for new applicants

Post by zhassan » Sun Nov 19, 2006 12:05 pm

Hi All,
I would like to invite this forum to comment on the news HSMP changes in terms of its effects on current and future applicants.

Especially as different categories have been removed like

Work Experience
Partener's Achievements
Priority Applications
Significant achievement in a chosen field

Is new system is rational? Is a person with 10 years experience but over 32 can't contribute to UK economy?

Specifically in my case, what I am thinking

1:- 30 points for my graduation.

2:- My income is AU$65,000(gross) +14% super from employer (not coming into pocket , but is contributing to my old age benefit) + My investment in a business overseas (not sure whether this investment in can contribute to my earnings? Also note that business is not related to my profession). But if I add up all, it's more than AU$100K.

3:-I have worked as a part time consultant for a UK based company, I have documentation as a proof. Will I get 5 points for that experience.

Please advise how should I proceed?

Cheers,
ZIA

Unless you're claiming Education or Earning point in UK, you won't get 5 bonus point.
