Need Help

Hello All,

Here's a situation of my friend:

1. The girl was born before Jan 1, 1983 in UK, so she has a British Passport..
2. Her hubby is from India who is on Work Permit for 3 yrs in UK out of which 1 yr has already passed by...
3. They got married 1.5 yrs ago in India...

So the question is:

To be eligible for ILR,
1. Does he needs to get his Work Visa changed to Spouse Visa from within UK now?
2. Or, wait for another 2 yrs on Work Visa n apply for ILR straight away based on the fact that their marriage is 4 yrs old?
3. Or please suggest other possible correct way if there is any :)

Switching to FLR(M) and subsequently SET(M) in two years may be faster than remaining on work permit.
